2. Books, audiobooks, and movies not owned by the Williamson County Public Library System may be requested from other libraries by adult patrons 18 years of age and older with library accounts in good standing (fine-free and no overdue items).

   Only requests for items published 12 months ago or older copyright date will be processed. Digital products such as e-books, e-audiobooks, etc., are not available for request due to licensing restrictions. Items owned by WCPLS may not be requested.

   The limit is 25 requests per calendar year.  Only 3 requests may be made at one time.  

   There is a fine for failure to pick up an item once this ILL request form is submitted.

35. • The WCPLS Inter-Library Loan Service is limited to adult patrons who are 18 years of age and older. Younger patrons may make in-person requests and must have their legal guardian present to sign the form(s).
    • Patrons must have accounts in good standing.  Good standing means the account is up-to-date with current contact information, with no fines or overdue materials.
    • Patrons are limited to three item requests at one time for a total of 25 items per year.
    • Requested items must not be owned by WCPLS.
    • Books published within the last twelve months are not eligible for a borrowing request.
    • The lending library sets the due date.
    • ILL items are not renewable.
    • Items not picked up within 5 days of arrival will be returned to the lending library.  A $3 non-pickup fine is charged to the patron's account for in-state requests, and a $5 non-pickup fine for out-of-state requests.
    • Overdue interlibrary loan items fees are $0.50 a day to a maximum of $5.
    • Not all materials are eligible for interlibrary loan. There is no guarantee that another library will loan items to WCPLS.
    • Most requests are received within less than a month.  There is no guarantee of a set receiving time from another library.  We are dependent on their generosity in processing these requests and their willingness to lend items from their collections.
