The Friends of the Williamson County Public Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization committed to enhancing the library experience for all Williamson County residents.
What We Do
Sponsor used book sales.
Provide books and FOL merchandise in the Friends' Main Library Book Store.
Promote online book sales through Amazon.
Encourage gifts, endowments, and memorials.
Host BOO! Books, a children's Halloween event.
Assist in Library events whenever needed.
Provide continuing education assistance for Library staff.
Honor Library staff with a luncheon on Annual Library Workers Day.
Enhance community knowledge of the library's functions, resources, and services.
Offer volunteer opportunities for book lovers.
Ways You Can Help
Bring your enthusiasm to the following:
Sort and organize book donations.
Help with book sales--Set up, customer service, cashier, break down, etc.
BOO! books and other special events have a variety of ways to help.
Communications--Create a monthly newsletter and send out press releases when needed.
Fundraising--Generate ideas and/or help as needed.
Hospitality--Plan the Friends' Annual Luncheon and the Annual Library Workers Day Luncheon.
Membership--Participate in membership recruitment activities.
Publicity--Contact media as necessary and post notices of upcoming events.
Share special skills and talents.
