Young Writers Program

Read with Lucy

Read with Lucy Saturday, October 23 10:30 -11:30. Kids ages 6-12 are invited to come read with Lucy, a trained therapy dog. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Attendance is limited and registration is required. Please sign up all children in a family who will be reading individually to assure they each have time to interact with Lucy and read. Registration begins October 16. Registered children will be scheduled to read at 10 minute intervals. Please call the children's department, 615-595-1244, following registration to obtain an assigned time.

Chess Club

Kids and teens ages 6 - 18 are invited to join our chess mentor, Dr. Dan, for an afternoon of learning and play. Attendance is limited and registration is required. Registration opens October 2. Children under the age of 12 must have an adult in the program with them. Each child or adult attending must register separately!
