  2. Readings on Racial Justice Book Club

    February 9, 2021, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM @ Virtual via Zoom

This month our focus is on racially diverse fiction. Recent studies have shown that the act of reading and absorbing fiction through books, movies, and other media increases the human capacity for empathy. When racially diverse characters are shown in books and media, it has almost as dramatic an effect on a person's worldview as having a racially diverse mix of friends, which promotes tolerance and acceptance. Reading fiction is important.
