  1. Adult Virtual Trivia Challenge - Animals

    July 20, 2021, 8:00 AM - July 30, 2021, 5:00 PM

The theme for our 8th WCPL Virtual Trivia game is Animal Trivia. The topic can include animal general knowledge, animals in entertainment, and animals as cultural icons. Registration for the challenge will start July 8 and be open until the game begins on July 20, 2021; the game ends on July 30. You do not need to create an account in Kahoot, you just open the link on a device (mobile, laptop, or desktop) with a web browser. You will have to use the same device to log in and out of the game. Once registration is over, we will send an email with a link to that specific game in Kahoot. As Kahoot limits a single game link to 10 players, we can send the same Kahoot game, with a different link, to each set of 10 players. This will allow for more registration and less waitlisted players. Once Kahoot is opened with the game link, set up your nickname using three consecutive letters from your name so we are able to award our winners and frequent participants.

  2. Crafty Adults: Pet Tug Toy

    July 29, 2021, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Meeting Room

Join us in making tug toys for pets! We did so well last time, we are going to run the same class again! We would like to make a bunch to donate to one of our Summer Reading Program partners, Williamson County Animal Center. These are a upcycled craft; using old (or just unwanted) t-shirts and braiding them tightly together. This time, we need to put a call out for the t-shirts, this is a great way to recycle those old and unwanted cotton blend t-shirts. We need the helping hands to put them together for the Animal Center and you can make one for your pet, also. Additionally, we are making Catnip Cat Toys - also for donation and one for your own pet. We are limited to 30 people in our meeting room, so registration is necessary; teens are welcome.
