Story Time is back. Join us for stories, games and fun every week.

Join Ankaj Goel, a longtime meditator, as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, and enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium. He will present a simple, time-tested, ancient, and effective meditation technique and will offer a short meditation sitting.

Ankaj Goel is a Quality Assurance Manager in the Healthcare Industry and has many years of experience in problem solving and quality assurance. He currently develops test strategies for applications and data products. Ankaj was educated as a mechanical engineer. He has been meditating for over 10 years and has been conducting meditation workshops for the past 5 years. He leads meditation programs at his work as part of a wellness club, where he teaches meditation as a tool to reduce stress. Ankaj also teaches teenagers in the community about the benefits of meditation. He is married and has a son.

The Children's Department is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month with two special activities. Search the department for The Pigeon and his friends to learn about the things you can do with a library card. Then pick up a Library Bingo card to take home. Complete library related activities to earn Bingo, then bring your card back to the library and pick up a prize. Don't forget to sign up for your very own library card too!

Preschool Story Time is for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers and is in-person. Hurray!. Come join us for a half hour of stories and songs. Learn the alphabet, keep rhythm with percussion instruments, and discover a few signs in American Sign Language. We'd love to have you join us!
